Introduction
Research in Medical and Health Sciences is increasingly a multidisciplinary effort. These include aspects of the epidemiology, pathogen, host, community, treatment, diagnosis of communicable and non-communicable diseases associated with human health. This research cluster will strive to bring together researchers with different expertise to work on multidisciplinary research projects related to medicine and health sciences. We envision long-term niche research projects that draws on the strength of our researchers to become future experts in these areas. We welcome participation from all interested researchers particularly young researchers to strengthen the research culture within the university.
To encourage and initiate multidisciplinary research in medicine and health sciences with the following strategies:
- Provide experiential guidance to forming project ideas.
- Leveraging on local and international networking connections to form research collaborations
- Provide support and guidance for project funding proposals and initiatives
- To encourage high impact sustainable research projects relevant to the global community
- Provide guidance for high impact research publications
